Lichtwaas Studio was founded by James, rooted in a photographic vision of light, atmosphere and color.
What began as an exploration of technical craft grew into a studio where visual storytelling is shaped from the first idea to the final image, across high-end campaigns both nationally and internationally.

Victor became closely involved over the years and now runs the studio alongside James. We work as a duo on set, taking on the roles of both photographer and assistant. This approach gives us full control over light and setting, allowing the story to take shape during the shoot itself.

Our process is deliberately end-to-end. From concept and lighting on set to editing, retouching and final grading, everything happens within the studio — keeping the mood intact and the visual language coherent.

James’ vision of color extends beyond photography into motion. As a colorist, he brings the same vision into video work for fiction, television and advertising.
